The Executive Committee meets twice each year to review and approve all official Shop America policies and long term strategic plans. The Committee includes SAA Sustaining Members and Shopping Tourism Person of the Year Honorees. Membership is by invitation only.
Shop America Scholarship Committee (Angel Williams and Peggy Ziglin, co-chairs)Objective: oversee SAA Scholarship silent auction and scholarship recipient selection.
Shop America Tours Committee (Kathy Anderson, Art Jimenez, co-chairs)
Objective: expand sales of Shop America Tours with enhanced packaging and marketing partnerships.
Shop America Magazine Editorial Advisory Committee (Rosemary McCormick, Rosemarie Reyes, Michael O’Connell, Sheila Armstrong, Carolyn Petty, Jean Guinup)
Objective: provide input and direction on SA Magazine editorial content.
Partnership Committee (Pat Lee, Rosemarie Reyes, co-chairs)
Objective: Develop and enhance SAA relationships with tour operators and travel partners.
Shop America Tourism Conference Advisory Committee (Rosemary McCormick, Sheila Armstrong, co-chairs)
Objective: develop program for annual conference, venue selection.
Canada Marketing Committee (Anita Boeker, chair)
Objective: Develop and implement strategies to increase shopping tourism from Canada.
SASI AWARDS Committee (Brandace Berger Bruning, chair)
Objective: seek out and recognize excellence in Shopping Tourism marketing.
PR Committee (Sheila Armstrong, chair)
Objective: produce annual SAA Media CD, maintain media lists, write and submit media releases, share media leads with SAA members.
Pow Wow Reception Planning Committee (Pat Lee, Sheelagh Wylie)
Objective: plan and produce Shop America’s Annual Private event at Pow Wow
